Liquid Caustic Soda, also known as Sodium Hydroxide Solution (NaOH), is one of the most versatile and widely used industrial alkalis in the world. It is a clear to slightly hazy, colorless liquid produced through the electrolysis of brine (membrane cell technology), ensuring high purity and consistent quality.

We supply liquid caustic soda in 32% (w/w) and 48–50% (w/w) concentrations to meet the diverse process requirements of industrial and institutional buyers. As a bulk chemical intermediate, it plays a critical role in manufacturing processes across chemical, textile, paper, water treatment, food, and metal processing industries.

Storage & Handling

• Store in HDPE, PVC, or rubber-lined mild steel tanks - avoid aluminum, zinc, or tin containers.
• Keep containers tightly closed and away from acids and reactive metals.
• 48–50% grade requires insulated/heated storage in cold climates to prevent crystallization.
• Use appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, face shield) - caustic soda is highly corrosive to skin and eyes.
• Ensure proper ventilation and eyewash/safety shower stations near storage and handling areas.

Applications & Industry Uses

• Pulp & Paper Industry Used in the pulping and bleaching process to break down lignin and in de-inking of recycled paper.

• Textile Industry Used for mercerizing cotton fabric to improve strength, luster, and dye affinity, as well as in fabric scouring and desizing.

• Soap, Detergent & Personal Care A key raw material in saponification for soap manufacturing and in the production of surfactants for detergents.

• Water & Wastewater Treatment Used for pH correction/neutralization, alkalinity adjustment, and as part of effluent treatment processes in municipal and industrial plants.

• Alumina & Metal Processing Essential in the Bayer process for alumina extraction from bauxite, and used in metal cleaning, etching, and surface treatment.

• Petroleum Refining Used to neutralize acidic impurities and remove sulfur compounds (mercaptans) during crude oil refining.
